I was a Kindergarten teacher for almost 8 years, an assistant principal for almost 2 and a half years, and have been a principal for almost 5 and a half years. I graduated from UNC-CH in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education. I then graduated from UNC-CH in 2006 with a Master of School Administration. Currently, I am a graduate student at UNC-CH seeking my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
I love learning about education and leadership, but I am most interested in physics, astronomy, and any outside of the box solutions to complex problems. I grew up and have lived my entire life in North Carolina.
I have a wonderful wife who teaches elementary students and an amazing six year old son, Ian, who is full of energy and curiosity. I love playing guitar and singing. I also love watching Nova on PBS, but my true passion is UNC sports. Go Tar Heels!
